NAUTIC-ON’s Lou Sandoval receives MAESTRO Award for Entrepreneurship

Latino Leaders Magazine presented it’s 2018 Maestro Award for Entrepreneurship to Lou Sandoval, National Director for Business Development for NAUTIC-ON, a Brunswick Corporation brand, at a ceremony held at the Chicago History Museum on September 26th. This award is the highest recognition the publication presents to a Leader to recognize his career, accomplishment and Leadership.


Past Maestro Awardee recipients in Chicago include such notable figures as: Ralph de la Vega, Art Velazquez, Marty Castro, Ezequiel Flores, Jose R Sanchez, JC Gonzalez-Mendez, Alejandro Silva, Manny Sanchez, Jesus Chuy Garcia, Juventino Cano, Lou Nieto, Martin Cabrera, Jesse Ruiz among 20 more. This year, the Maestro Award was also be presented to three other leaders: U.S. Congressman Luis Gutierrez, George Burciaga, Managing Director for Civiq Smartscapes and Robert Rodriguez D.R.R. Advisors.


Lou Sandoval is currently the National Director of Business Development for NAUTIC-ON, a new Brunswick brand, where he is utilizing his entrepreneurial skills to leverage IoT technology in the marine industry.


He spent 15 years as the Owner/founder of an award winning marine dealership in the Great Lakes area where he garnered National accolades for customer service and sales in developing the market for a large European based boat brand. Prior to that, he had successful 17-year career in the healthcare/biotech/biomedical industry where he held many positions for several FORTUNE 100 companies.


“Lou is a tremendous example and role model to many entrepreneurs and young Latinos. His story and career talk a great deal of how a man with the right attitude and discipline, can climb the ladder and become a leader and a successful businessman. We have learned very much from him about leadership and how can that leadership impact the community,” said Jorge Ferraez, publisher of Latino Leaders Magazine and host of the Maestro Ceremony in Chicago.


He serves on several industry boards including the National Board of the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, Sail America and the Recreational Boating Leadership Council (RBLC). Sandoval is on the Board of Directors for Chicago Yacht Club and their executive board where he currently serves as the Vice Commodore. He also sits on the board of Wintrust bank. He is past board member of the Yacht Broker’s Association of America (YBAA) and has served as the Chairman of the venerable Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac for the 104th and 105th running.
